    • Click on the 'Media' tab above
    • Go to the bottom of the page
    • Enter the URL for your video
    • Pick an appropriate category
    • Click on the 'Retrieve Information' button

Worked for me last time I tried it.

I did that by just copying my You Tube url but I get the "could not parse url" error.

I've seen various formats for YouTube URL's, and can't say that I understand the differences. Generally, to get a URL for one of my videos, I'll go to my channel's main page, or Videos page, right click on the title of the video, and select something like 'Copy Link' from the pop-up menu. The format should be something like below.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVgIW0paKR8

The Video Manager page for your video may say the URL for your video is something like

    https://youtu.be/wVgIW0paKR8

I think that format won't parse.

I think the same is true if you try to embed a YouTube video in a forum post.

    Good Luck,

Thank you Peter, that's the explanation I needed as well.

    So I see.

Shug's only got 180 videos, so you should catch up to him soon.

    Have fun.

With as much time in editing I am amazed at the amount of vids Shug has! I will get a nice format down and try not to bore folks to death. I enjoy the video editing process.
