I really think I'll incorporate this setup on my next UQ. I'm actually needing to make a few right now. My brother, my buddy and my sons all need underquilts. So I may be making quite a few!

    Yes, one piece of shock cord for the suspension. Two seperate pieces for the cinching of the end channels. Yes, it "floats" until you hook mitten hooks onto prusics. Here is a diagram..I hope you can make it out.uploadfromtaptalk1430688498423.jpg

    I'm able to make it out just fine. Thanks for sharing the plans. I thought I understood what you were doing and your drawing here confirms that I do understand it. Nice project! I like it and may very well incorporate some of this into my next underquilt build.
    Two heads are good, three are great, but all heads at hammockforums is the best case scenario!
