I'll be heading into boston for a weekend in the middle of July, and I'm looking for a spot to hang 3 hammocks for the night. Preferably somewhere "kid friendly" (IE, bathrooms) as my kid is still convinced a bear is gonna bite her in the butt

How far from Boston are you willing to be? I have hung at Wells State Park in Sturbridge before with kids. There are clean bathrooms, a lake, a nice small field for frisbee or ball. If you are not familiar with the area it is probably about an hour and 15 minutes or so outside of Boston, but if you don't mind the ride it is a nice spot. Not every site is hammock friendly and unfortunately I do not remember the site number I have used in the past (might be #27), but if you call them and ask for one with plenty of trees I am sure they will hook you up.
===> Hey Justin! We have hung several times at the Harold Parker State Forest about 12 miles outside Boston right up Rte 93. Kid friendly, bathrooms (although the hand dryers sound like jet engines at night!), a swimming beach for the kids, fishing, etc.
When Knotty was in town for a conference, I suggested HPSF and my daughter and I met him there. Worked for him. Its about a half hour or less into town from there. If you do decide to hang there, please let me know, and I can come hang with you guys, and be sort of a guide. We can fish, too!!

You might even be able to make the Summer hang at Harold Parker if the dates are right.
The Summer hang at Harold Parker is the weekend of July 17-19. Let us know if you are interested in joining us & we can make sure we have enough space to accommodate you! It's going to be a great time & is definitely kid-friendly.
Yea, It's that weekend.. we'd be leaving the Albany area at some time around 3pm that Saturday.. just for the one night. Leaving early Sunday.
