Lost Creek Wilderness Loop, CO

I would like to take off midweek for a 2 day, 3 night trip sometime within the next two weeks. Does anyone know the trail conditions for the lost creek wilderness loop? Would I need to bring my snowshoes or would I be in danger of post holing? Any advice or recommendations are appreciated.

This area is typically some of the first to melt off. The wife and I are hanging there next weekend to test out some equipment and don't anticipate any problems.

Thanks for the reply @Mrgreene92 please send an update my way. I would like to get over there midweek prior to Memorial Day weekend. I had hoped to get out earlier but work and family obligations. We all know the bit.

I'm planning on heading up to Refrigerator Gulch the last weekend of May. Any condition reports from your trips in the next couple of weeks would be greatly appreciated!

Did anyone make it out to Lost Creek Wilderness this past weekend? Seriously considering a trip there this weekend, but I'm not sure with all the rain/snow.

I am planning on going this weekend too but not going all the way to refrigerator gulch. Just a short hike in and piddling around the rest of the day.... Have you seen snow in the forecast? Or just rain?

Yeah, I've been seeing mixed rain/snow on the weather maps in that area. Keep me in the loop on your plans. Maybe we can meet up!

We are hoping to get up there around 8 am sat and leave sometime Sunday morning. What weather maps have you been watching? Do you have a link by chance? Just wanna take alook.
