    Hammock for two?

I'm thinking about a simple hammock that could be carried along for a day trip hike or on a motorcycle outing that could be used for taking a break or short nap. Would like it to be able to accommodate two people. I wouldn't be planning on overnighting in it, as I understand that that wouldn't be very comfortable.

    1. Would a double hammock be comfortable enough for two to use just for naps, breaks on the trail, etc.?
    2. The only one I've come across is the ENO Doublenest - are there any other good options?

    Thanks!

Cottage vendors don't sell two-person hammocks so you'll have to stick to big box, made in China, hammocks like ENO and Grand Trunk. The GT double might be more comfy for naps since it's longer (10'6").

sounds like the overengineered bridgehammock concept - OR dutch spreader bars.

I have an ENO doublenest and it seems to be plenty big enough for two people to lounge in. Me and the gf will go camping and hangout in one together fairly comfortably, just never overnight. That would be a long night!

Thanks - I'll take a look at Grand Trunk as well. Guessing any type of suspension would work ok?

The ENO double nest or Gt double will work for two for short naps. I've napped with my wife in my ENO.

I'm sure you could get a hold of one of the cottage vendors and have a wide hammock made.
