Just finished my diy asym tarp. 1.1 silnylon 2nds, a little heavy silicone spot on one end but I followed the guide on their website and that end got cut off anyway, from DIY Gear Supply tarp link . Fleaz and Tarpworms from Dutchware with continuous loop prussiks on a 30' Zing-It 1.75mm continuous ridgeline, 2-9" Coghlan's stakes with 8' of 130lb planerboard line as guyline. It turned out at 11.5oz/326g ready to hang. I'm really happy with how it turned out. Silnylon is slippery to run through the thread injector, but I find it is more stable than non-coated fabric.
The Dutch bling is awesome the Fleaz are lighter than the small metal Figure-9's I was using and allow me to use thinner line for the ridgeline. The Tarpworms are about the smartest thing I've ever seen. Wow, so simple and they work so well.
