I posted on the tarp forum also.....the silnylon I used was purchased from Quest Outfitters in FL. It matches pretty close to what OES uses. The job of getting the door panel right was a bit cumbersome. ZQ and I took an old sheet and pinned it to the top of the tarp beak first. Then plumbed straight down indicating where the doors would meet. Next we pinned the sheet to the tarp edging and with pencil marked where the sheet should be cut. We allowed enough for rolled hemmmed edges on the doors. The zipper idea to secure the doors was a trial to see if a zipper would hold up. We used #3 nylon coil zipper for that. It measures almost 36". A separating zipper that starts at the top. I've had it two winters so far in some pretty nasty weather with no problems yet. I'm able to hang everything inside on bad weather days up off the ground. The center pole mod for the tarp also helps provide more room and shed the snow better.

Interesting idea----I sewed a "beak" on my Maccat, but you take it a step further! Do you have a more detailed description/pictures? Thanks!
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.
