To Zing-IT or Not to Zing-IT... That is the question

Alright... Looking for a little HF guidance.

I am planning on buying a spool of Amsteel Blue off of Amazon.

My question is this: Should I even bother with buying Zing-IT or Lash-IT for guylines/etc... or just use the ample amount of Amsteel I will have at my disposal? Pros? Cons?

I am trying to justify if spending the extra $30+ dollars is necessary or beneficial.

    Thanks!

    A) Amsteel is a little much for guylines. I would work just fine, just overkill.

    B) Zing-it can be used for a multitude of things, you can never have too much and you would be totally justified in buying a spool.

Most hardware designed for tarp use will not work with amsteel.

Murfreesboro Road and Briley Parkway area. Close enough to downtown to enjoy the City, but right by the Interstate and Bypass to get out of town quick!

    You?

I like using Zing-It (or Lash-It or whatever) for my guylines because it's thin and smaller than amsteel. Amsteel is great for other things, but overkill for guylines. If you have a ton of it and don't have a use for it then personally I would buy less or save it. Using Amsteel for all your lines would add a lot more weight and definitely more bulk than Zing-It, which is a good enough reason for me. Plus, I haven't had any issues with the Zing-It so far and don't foresee any.

EDIT: Also, as mentioned above, if you use Amsteel, how will you fit all of your Dutch bling on?!

Being that using knots was ingrained into me since I was a wee little lad, I really don't know that I would every use any hardware other than a toggle for connecting tree straps to a whoopie sling. Everything else would be taut line hitches, larks heads, or prussic knots (and again, a toggle).

Is there anything that I am not taking into consideration, or would I have all the bases covered?

butt in a sling sells amsteel for $.20 per foot, which is only $.0001 more than the amazon price. you could always buy by the foot, then spend the extra cash on zing-it?
