Don't let that stop you. There's still time to make yourself a DIY gathered end from taffeta tablecloth or ripstop nylon from Joanne's or what have you. You could also head to a REI and pick up an Eno or something. Might even be able to beg a spare hammock from someone attending. It's not going to be freezing and bugs shouldn't be too bad (I get by without a bug net--just wear one of those mosquito net hats). As long as it hangs between two trees, it should be fine.

Are you going to premake the rice or am I missing out on an awesome toy for when I do a car camping trip with the family?

Zatarain's red beans & rice mix, with diced Hillshire farms Kielbasa, diced green pepper & diced white onions-quick, easy, good, and filling! Don't know if I'll bring the rice steamer with me yet, but I'll for sure bring the wok. Thai sticky rice requires a higher-gluten rice than we usually see. Uwajimaya carries it, but other than that, it's somewhat hard to find.

Tomorrow's my 67th birthday, and I'm finding that my ancient stomach doesn't really like American food all that much, so I cook primarily Asian stuff. The fresh ingredients are also way better than a dose of "mac & cheese"! But car camping? Tell you what-bring a small pork shoulder, a jar of char siu sauce (again, Uwajimaya), and I'll show you how easy it is to make char siu pork on a little BBQ. I'm the one who usually winds up doing the cooking for elk camp each year, and there's no sense in eating junk! If you want some car camping recipes, and have something to haul the kitchen with, no problemo! We're talkin` elk Welllington here!

I am sure there will be extra hammocks if yours does not make it on time.

I've got a fleet of hammocks, can bring a full setup, sans thermal protection.

On a similiar note I recently had cable dragged to my shop/office and they left behind a few hundred feet of Mule tape. So I was thinking of making up a couple pair of tree huggers out of it for people to check out.

I read that there will be a toilet, but is there running water or will I need to bring water?

Bring water. There's also a general store just up the road if you don't mind paying a premium.
