    Toronto in November. Insulation?

    Hi all,
in November (22nd) I'm heading across the pond to Toronto. Planning on doing as much camping as possible. MY friend told me that temps can vary at that time of year from 10C to -10C. Since here in Australia freezing point is about as low as I'm lucky to get, I'm not sure what to do insulation wise.
    I was thinking:
    Peapod
    JRB Stealth
    CCF mat

and warm clothing. Is this going to cut it? Or is it time to sleep on the ground finally?

I think your list will get you to those temps nicely, provided adequate warm clothing.

Watch the weather forecast and have a great time!

I would get some type of UQ, CCF pad and mucho warm clothes. I don't have an UQ yet so I can't suggest which one is better.

As I live close by .... I have to ask if you are stayin in/near TO or going out away from the big smoke? This will also make a difference as a -10*C forcast in TO could be a -20*C forcast only 3 hours north.
I do not wish to be disturbed - but I can't help it!

Nice ..... colours have really changed up that way. You will be in the 80-100% fall colours. Be sure to have those warm clothes .... it is near freezing at night in the area.

That’s not Toronto. That’s Ontario. The difference in temps between Toronto proper and where you’re going can vary quite a lot. Even just Wakefield has the potential to be 2 or 3 degrees cooler than Toronto. The aspect of being surrounded by the Great lakes make southwestern Ontario a strange weather area. It can be a raging blizzard in one area, and an hour away the weather will be fine - sun shining, several degrees warmer, not a drop of snow on the ground.

I think you should be okay with what you’re proposing. Just make sure you have warm clothing to sleep in as well, including gloves and a toque.
