Going to ground with a Maccat?

If I were to go to ground with a maccat, do I have as many options as I would with a tarp made for this? This is definatily not a critical decision but something I would like to know. Do you have any pictures of hammockless setups?

Click on the pictures link on the left side of this page and scroll down a little. There are some excellent pictures of various ground set-ups of a Blackcat. It is very similar to the design of the MacCats and should provide you with some good ideas to go practice.
    Trust nobody!

MacCat deluxe will work fine for ground use. While I haven"t used it in the woods, I have set it up many times in my yard just in case I had to go to ground. (Bald Mountains, for views) I used my treking poles and 8 stakes. Two stakes to hold each treking pole. The cord I used to hang my hammock worked for ground. I'm a ccf pad user. No I need nothing extra to make this work in the woods.

i forgot to mention i only need 4 stakes when hanging, 8 for ground use. 4 extra stakes cost me 2 ounces using golite tent stakes.

Could I also do things like the Half pyramid? And do that cat cuts have any noticible effects in bad (ie strong winds, horizontal rain) weather?
