Planning a camping/hiking trip later this month with my son. This will be my sons first time hammock camping and he is beyond excited. We are considering Mt. Charleston but as of yet still undecided. What I have looked at so far of camping at Mount Charleston is all campground. Was hoping to find someplace a bit more out of the way. Would rather stay away from the loud music, drunks, and all the lights. Anyone have any suggestions of places outside of Vegas or even within an hour or two drive? Thanks!
