Hello all! Just thought I'd introduce myself. I've been lurking for quite a while and need to get active around here. I've actually been hanging off and on for a long time. I discovered the joys of sleeping in a hammock at 12 years old, camping in the backyard waiting for our sow to drop her piglets. My dad found some woven net hammocks at Walmart, and we started enjoying them immediately. I've used the same type of hammock backpacking and camping off and on since then, until discovering Grand Trunk's hammock a couple years ago. I've used that on backpacking trips in Eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas for several years.
I'm a DIY'er in just about everything I do, so that was a natural transition, and I started making hammocks for the entire family (4 kids and a wife get expensive if you have to buy everything!). I'm currently planning making a hammock with attached bugnet, considering Dream Hammock style, or possibly WBBB XLC style. It's all about time, of which I don't have nearly enough.
I've enjoyed lurking and watching the interaction over the last year or so. Hopefully I'll have a bit of time to participate a little!
