Question THERMACELL new model vs old model??

    Pro and cons??

I overheard or read that the new models can turn on while in your bag. Has anyone experienced this?

    Thank you for your time

Don't have one but hike with someone who does, and he has the same complaint about the new switch. I suppose duct tape will prevent that. (It fixes everything else, lol). Probably a wide rubber band wrapped around the device and covering the switch would be a less sticky solution.

I have one of each. I have always unscrewed the bottle and carry them in the unit that way, unscrewed so they don't "screw me"
