    Major Break Through

I always had an issue with sliding down during the night to the point my feet would hang off one side of my ENO double. Just spent four nights hangin and figured out if I elevated the foot end slightly more than my head I would not slide down, it worked like a charm.

Yup. That's the conventional wisdom with most hammocks, though I'd imagine it probably wouldn't be necessary with a bridge.

Conventional wisdom with a bridge is exactly reverse, Head slightly higher than the feet. The torso weighs more than the legs.

It's kinda hard to visualize if the foot end is actually higher unless you keep stepping back to look. Since I have an ENO, there really isn't a designated head or foot end. So when I get in my hammock I lay down and without moving around I feel for the pocket on the side of the hammock. if it is above my hips then my head end is too high, if it is below my hips then I am in the hammock right. If my head end is too high I just spin around in the hammock and now I'm right. This way i never have to look at how the hammock is set up. I just hang the tarp, hang the hammock, climb in and feel for the pocket.

I've even done the "spin" in my clark (which does have a head & foot end) !! If I'm very tired and after I've gotten into my hammock, IF I've got the head end to high and I don't feel like messing around with getting back out and fixing the ropes, I've been known to just spin around and go back to sleep.

Yea, the problem with some hammock manufacturers is the instructions say "Hang the hammock LEVEL!" I have, after following that misinformation, woke up with my feet hanging about 8" out of the end of the hammock. I then put it back the right way & slept thru the night.
When you have a backpack on, no matter where you are, you’re home.
PAIN is INEVITABLE. MISERY is OPTIONAL.
