Here are a few pics I took. We started off with a few rapids, which was fun. My friend & I were the first ones tossed from our boat, although our canoe didn't take on too much water. It was quite fun. We had an amazing stop for lunch in which BBQ was ordered (see pic 6 of this post!). The BBQ was picked up by walking about half a mile from a bridge. The owner of the place was even nice enough to give our gofers a ride back to the bridge. Pic 9 is the tiniest of glimpses into the feast we had.

A few more pictures. Mostly of the portage around the dam and a few of the female snapper we saw laying eggs!

And my last set of pictures. A bunch from our setups for Saturday night, including a ground-dweller somehow. Also a couple pictures I took on Sunday when my friend & I had to head out early so that he could get back home (western CT) at a somewhat reasonable time. The duck might be a female hooded merganser, but I'm not 100% sure. The body color seems a bit off. And the last picture was a very important warning sign.

It was an amazing trip. Can't wait for another! Thanks again to everyone who came & made it a great trip!

Looks like a great trip! It's a shame I don't live closer to your area or I would have definitely come!

Great photos! I did not see or know about the horn sounding. Yikes.

    9:00pm, just made it home.
What a spectacular trip again, it was so much fun!
Thanks to everyone who was there, because to me it is the group of people that really make the experience a great one.

===> AWESOME pics, guys! I am SO bummed I had to miss it again, but teaching folks to fish - especially the kids - is important to me. Plus I am committed to the state to do so. However, I think that another trip during the summer might be organized if that sounds like a good idea! LOVED the pics! Seeing the Turtle laying her eggs was very special! And the food kept to the NEHHA tradition of being over the top! Great trip reports!!

    Thanks for the float along!

What another awesome trip this year! We did some of the same sections as last years trip but this trip was completely different. We had an awesome group of people that made the trip that much better and I thank everyone for making it such a great time.
I think SunShower summed up the trip pretty well in the first post. We had a lot of paddling, eating, and laughs and I can't wait to do it again. I'm pretty sure everyone is in agreement that this now needs to be an anual trip!

I took a bunch of pictures and stole some from other people in the group and put them all in 1 album. It's easier to post the link up then upload each picture individually.

I'm sorting through a ton of still photos and raw video. I'll try to upload a video by the end of the week. What a great time!
