I have a half a day job in South Philly, then check in with the family then I will be down. Hopefully I will be there by 3pm. And I am up for hiking on Saturday.

Can't attend for Fri. nights festivities..but will make it down Sat. morn. calling for a chance of snow!!! No venison sausage this year...only meatballs. Is there anyone bringing rolls? I'll pick up some Provolone cheese to have with our subs. Will bring my Mountain bike if anyone is interested in going for a ride on some of the trails.

Bakeel said he was going to bring 3-4 dozen. Maybe someone who hasn't thought of something could bring a few loaves of italian bread for the soups and stews.

I'm heading to Campmor on Wednesday to pick up a few things. [OK...alot of things....who am I kidding!] If anyone going to this hang needs any last minute supplies, shoot me a PM.

Just wanted to introduce myself on here since I've been lurking primarily...I'm Melissa, a friend of Festus' from ZS and while I have gone winter camping before I love the idea of breaking the seasonal barrier for my HH. This seems like the best way to do it with a bunch of awesome people that know their stuff! I'm looking forward to learning a lot and seeing how well my HH, downmat, wiggy's sleeping system holds up to the weather.

Also consider Italian bread covered. Looking forward to the weekend

I wish I was able to attend this year. i had a great time and great food last year. Somehow the Mt Rogers and Jersey hangs are always the same date So I have been going every other year. Sometimes I think the hammock gods are against me. Have a really good time and bring a hammer and good strong stakes. The gound is rock hard when frozen.

Welcome to the forums and it will be a pleasure to meet you at the hang. I'll have my kids show their trick to always being warm out in the pine barrens.

Dutch- I hear they were thinking of changing locations due to road closings. You can always have them come up to us.

My friend John and I won't be able to make if for Friday but will arrive Saturday, probably late morning.

I'm still planning on bringing Taylor ham for some TE&C sandwiches Sunday morning. Doubt I can bring enough for everyone though. Approx. how many people will be their that morning?
