    No rest for the weary

MamaSmurf came home wearing one of those stormtrooper boots today. I guess the doctor says she has a possible stress fracture. Being the caring and supportive husband, I promptly adjusted her sewing machine foot peddle so she could keep sewing left footed.

The romance is still alive and thriving in the Smurf household.

Aw. I feel bad for Mama. You're going to have to take it easier on her. No more whip cracking.

On a more serious note, please pass on our well wishes and get better soons.

So heavier foot on the go pedal = faster sewing right?

    Hope you heal quickly.

Egad, that foot should be elevated and iced. I am the voice of experience. I hope Mama Smurf recovers quickly, staying off the foot is part of recovery. I have a pump that recirculates cold water through a boot, keeps the ouch cooled for about 8 hours with normal room temperature. I mostly kept my foot cooled while sleeping. Six weeks will pass quickly.

Hopefully you oiled that peddle a little bit so the same doesn't happen to her left foot, pushing that hard. Now on a serious note...how exactly is this going to affect my order? Just kidding! Although the wait is killing me, I could wait a little longer, you just take it easy Mama!
Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. Hang your own hammock from them as the winds blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves. - John Muir (you know, all but the hammock part)
