    What's on your ridgeline?

    Borrowing from that credit card commercial "what's in your wallet?" I'm wondering what people have on their ridgelines.

    There's the obvious short list

    * water bottle
    * flashlight
    * glasses for those that wear them
    * some commercial organizer reminiscent of those in-binder pencil bags
    * cpap machine for those that require one

    So I'm curious not just what people keep within reach on their ridgelines but also the creative ways that people secure them. More interested in the DIY rigs but if there is some commercially available organizer or whatever that you really like do share.

    Regarding water bottles for instance the easy way depending on the bottle is a small biner or soft shackle provided the bottle has a built in loop or you can secure one to it. I'm mulling over a design for an adjustable diameter water bottle/cup/can holder out of amsteel or zing-it in my head. If anyone has done similar already I'd appreciate the pointer. Searching the interwebs shows tons of paracord ones including crocheting 120' into one... but searching for amsteel designs only brings up various ATV cup holders due to amsteel being used for tow and winch lines. I don't need to secure a can of budweiser to my hammock traveling at 40mph

    Headlamp & glasses simply draped over the line & cell phone in a perfectly sized stuff sack that my inflatable pillow came in, with the drawcord larks headed on the line.

    My water bottle sits on a stool next to my hammock, along with my pockets contents (knife, hand sanitizer, etc.).

    Glasses hooked on line. Headlamp, cellphone in DreamWorks organizer.

    Depending on trip
    indoor/outdoor Temp/humidity logger clipped to line
    My kindle slipped in the inner sleeve of the organizer.

    I usually don't keep a water bottle in the hammock...I get up too many times in the night already!

    Headlamp,knife and keys, everything else gets crammed in the footbox or in the shelf. I want to make sure any sharp objects don't puncture the hammock body, and within reach if needed in an emergency to cut myself out or defense. The keys same reason plus if they make noise its like an alarm, Normally they don't make much noise if any. And the light for obvious reasons. Reading material, phones, water ect goes on shelf, extra bedding and clothes goes in footbox.

    Keys acting like an alarm is clever. I like that.

    I typically have my keys, headlamp and a kindle and/or phone for reading in my ridgeline organizer. It's a pretty simple 2 pocket design made out of mesh with some velcro sewn along the top. Open the velcro, drape it on the line, close the velcro and it's in place. I also purchased what is essentially a double ended stuff sack made from mesh that I keep permanently attached to my ridgeline (purchased from Mountaingoat). In that I typically keep an extra shirt, beanie, and gloves in case I need an extra layer of warmth during the night. It works pretty well for me. My water bottle typically sits on the ground beneath my hammock but within easy reach.

    Instead of a ridgeline organizer, I have a small bishop bag that is used for small items (phone, glasses, kindle etc) I also attach my headlamp and sometimes my boots.
