Does anybody ever regret their CF tarp purchase?

Just curious, the obvious downside is the cash outlay, but was wondering if anyone had it to do over again would they just stick to their SF or Tadpole or other tarp?

I don't regret having purchased my Cuben tarp. That having been said, I did recently sell it. I had the standard hex tarp with no doors from Zpacks. Ultimately I decided I wanted more coverage and the option for doors. But I don't have the funds for a Winter Palace at the moment, nor do I want to wait weeks and weeks for it to arrive. So I'm making a tarp to my liking out of SilPoly. I'll do one in Cuben eventually when I have the funds.

I regret not buying my Hammock Gear cuben fiber camo with doors, long before I did.

I'm loving my Cuben fiber tarp. A Hammock Gear standard with doors. The tarp before that was a Spinnaker tarp without doors

Not a regret in the world. It is a key piece of my gear when I was in the final stages of reducing my load.

My HG Winter Palace is so vastly superior to the alternatives weight-wise (cost aside) that there isn't much doubt in my mind.

I held out a long time, thinking that there was no way I'd spend that much money on a tarp, but I don't regret it one bit.

Still have my Superfly, and often use it when weight isn't an obstacle though.

Thanks everyone, kind of what I expected, but thought I'd throw it out there anyway.

from all the pic of CF tarps they all seem to be semitransparent is that a feature or bonus to privacy/security or a none factor or just not any solid/ nontransparent colors available?
