    Talking 30 Night Challenge

Well, my wife thinks I have lost my mind! I have been following the forum for about a month now and resently bought an ENO doublenest, slap straps and hammock bliss bug net to start my learning curve. I just didn't realize how long the curve was. I set up the hammock in the basement and have been sleeping in it every night now for 2 weeks. I added a ridgeline to set the sag angle and have played with the length many times, switched to harbor frieght straps, sewed a Neat Frost SPE, bought a cheap 10 x 12 tarp to play with, added surgical tubing to the tie outs and just ordered climbing carabiners and descender rings. (more toys to play with)
TONIGHT is the night I start sleeping outside in the back yard for 2 weeks, it has been raining off and on today and the wind is blowing hard, 15 to 20 with gusts to 30. The forecasted low is only about 42 degrees. The tarp's surgical tubing is doing it's job, the hammock is hung up high and my SPE and sleeping bag are in place.
If I can't learn a thing or two in a month.....well....maybe I will have to stay out a little longer. I would like to thank/blame everyone here for my new addiction, the videos that are so helpfull and my wife would lke to thank everyone for having the bed to herself.
I encourage all new hangers to take the 30 night challenge. I believe I will learn more by doing this than I could every gain by hanging 1 or 2 nights here and there. Time will tell.....

Fantastic concept! When you have a chance, could you please post a picture or two of your setup? It would be great to see how far you progressed...

It really gets bad when the neighbors walking down the sidewalk stop and point! And worse when they are so used to seeing you hanging they quit pointing...then you know you're addicted.

It's never the stopping and pointing that bothers me, it's the laughter that accompanies it.

Of course I ought to be used to that, been experiencing that since before hammock days.
