I use a BIAS NanoBuginator during bug season, which is barely three months out of the year. Therefore, 75% of the time I have no bugnet. That's why I stick with independent bugnets because I see no reason to carry a bugnet when I only need it 25% of the time.

I started with HH Expedition (built in net), then to a BlackBird (built-in net) then to a light Owl, and now I'm trying an Envy-S (built-in net). I also have BIAS but at this time they are used for daytime hikes. And I enjoyed them ALL. With my size (small) I'm not concerned about weight limits and for a while, I owned an HH Survivor which was like a mansion. So I learned to like big hammocks. You can't go wrong with the ones you mentioned. Pick one and see where it takes you.

I HIGHLY recommend you spend a few nights camping out in your hammock at home before you your trip. There are just little things that might come up - do you want a peak bag or an organizer on the ridge line. If the hammock doesn't have one, do you want to make one out of some cord (If not permanently attached, at least used and a measuring device to get the sag you learned you like during your Home experience)? For example, we are sweltering here in the high 90's. Night time temps are in the 60's. I thought I'd see how it would be without an Under Quilt as my lightest is 40 degrees. So I learned that even though it is that warm at night, I still need something (maybe not the 40 degree UQ) under me to block the convection heat loss. Better to learn that at home than to assume it were I spend a night in the woods.

Save your money until you know what you want, you can easily do a DIY Hammock.

$15-dollars for a Taffeta Crinkle Tablecloth, sew (local sewing shop or DIY) a triple seam end channel of 1-inch on each end. (729 Grams)
    http://www.tableclothsfactory.com/Cr...vers-s/136.htm

Whoopie Hook Suspension $62.65 (172 grams)
    http://www.dutchwaregear.com/whoopie...pie-sling.html

    In stock
    Tree Huggers:
Whoopie Sling with Whoopie hook (Head):
Whoopie Sling with Whoopie hook (Foot):
    Amsteel Continuous Loop (Head):
    Amsteel Continuous loop (Foot):
    Dutch Clip:
Is this for a Hennessy Hammock? (?):

Wrap the Tree straps around the tree (if too long, then wrap a second time), connect the Whoopie slings to the end loops (one color for the head, and another color for the foot end of the hammock), adjust tension of hammock.

Oh, by the way the weight of the entire system will be 900 Grams, just under 32 Ounces. Not too shabby for one the most elegant set ups that anyone can manage.

Total cost is $80-dollars if you get someone to triple seam stitch the ends for you.

Add a ridgeline and a tarp once for the hammock, the 11-foot length insures that whatever hammock you end up with will fit.

Send me a PM if you decide to sell this used system. (No... really :>)

Bugnet? For now use 100% DEET at WalMart

    Just sayin...

Just received my new gear today. Hope to find some time in the back yard to get a feel for how it hangs.

I'm in a similar position. I've got a couple of Yukon hammocks that I'm using to try out this whole hanging thing and after sleeping comfortably in a fairly short Yukon bugnet hammock I'm convinced that I'm a hanger. I have been thinking about buying a BB XLC but I may end up getting a Dream Hammock Thunderbird in 72" wide fabric.
I don't care about cost so much, it will only hurt the once.
I suspect that either the Dream or the WB hammocks would be fine and I'd be happy either way and there would be a bunch of other vendors that would also sell hammocks that I'd be happy with, you can't lose with good quality that is highly recommended on these forums.
