Wolf, do you have issues with the tarpworms slipping off ever? I hesitate due to the winds I sometimes see in the mountains here and question their holding power.

I made my own and have used them in some very high wind situations. I use 1/8" shock cord and have never had any issue with them coming undone. The tension from the shock cord keeps the knot tight. I use Lash-it for now but will change to Glowire shortly when funds are available.

If you splice, want to learn, or don't mind paying to have it done, Lash-it or Zing-it.
Lawson's Glowire, or any of the others listed above, if you don't.
I think Tato's Adjustable Tarp Pulls work better than all the hardware and shock cord tensioners put together. They allow me to go sans any additional hardware, using simple prussics at the D-rings that can be adjusted from underneath the tarp, but I seldom have to do anything beyond initial set up.

Rolloff, is that the linelocs you are referencing?
My method (actually credit it to Rob) is 4ft of zing it tied to a stake and use bungee to attach one of Dutch's Fleaz to each corner of the tarp. Real fast and easy!
