Thanks to both Dutch and Derek! My association with them started at the beginning of my hammock journey, firstly with "The Ultimate Hang," and then when I finally got my first tarp, what better to accessorize than some Dutch bling!

Thanks for the great work you two do with the hammock community!

Thanks for helping make the (obsession) hobby that much more enjoyable Dutch and Derek.

I'd also like to give a shout out to Shug. Someone pointed me to his videos, without which, I'd probably still be a ground dweller

Shouts also go out to Adam and Jenny and the hammock gear crew, Brandon over at warbonnet, and Paul at AHE for making such great gear and accessories.
The more I learn about people, the more I like my dog.

Yep, thanks to ALL the great info on this site. I hang with Dutch gear, my wife hangs with dutch gear, my 2 year old hangs with dutch gear. I've passed Derek's book along to many a potential hammocker in hopes they would also come to understand the elevated perspective of those of us who sleep above the ground. Thanks MoonBear

Thank you, MoonBear, for the giveaway and an opportunity to give kudos!

I like Dutch's website, all the videos that he posts. I have yet to dabble into the realm of titanium fiddle bits, but the videos and the helpful hints are great!

Derek is the one of the nicest guys I know, having met him at last year's Texas Hammock hang. He shares information freely and happily, and the book is a great resource also! His videos, especially the water/drip line tests, are great! Can't wait for the updated book to come out, and also big shout outs to others on this forum who help freely and happily:

    SargeVining
    UncleMike

    Ripstopbytheroll
    Underquilts.com

Trevor "Fronkey" (Can't spell his last name...)
    SgtRock

And many, many more. The community is an awesome great place to hang out.

    Take it easy,

Thank you, MoonBear, for this nifty giveaway! I am relatively new to hammocking, and am not 'handy,' yet I was able to build a 1" galvanized pipe stand (that I've used nightly for 10 months) based on Derek's info, pictures, and illustrations. A year ago, Information Overload was the name of my tune, and Dutch's website was a foreign language. I've since placed an order with Dutch (and I'm planning another), and his videos are very helpful. Thank you, Derek and Dutch!

Many thanks to Dutch and Derek -------------both of you have contributed much to the hammock community! Love the book, and love dutchware! (argon is the best!)
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.

MoonBear - I gotta agree...this is a great forum with a plethora of wonderful, kind and helpful people and cottage vendors. Dutch's bling is so well designed; practical, functional and stylish...in its own sort of way. Derek is an amazing communicator/teacher with the best hammock illustrations I've seen.
I also, have to give a shout out to Shug! I have vicariously enjoyed many a hike with him; learned tons of backpacking/hammock info; and more than once had to explain to my wife why I was laughing at my computer. Would love to see a combo video with Shug and Dutch (Tigger meets Eeyore, :-) )
