Thanks heaps Brazilianguy. I think you've sold me on it
It was a toss-up between that and saving up for the Bossanova, but I can't find a single review for that big daddy.

Morelia, I like what you chose! The silver is nice :-) I sleep in my Brazilian most nights and my set-up is almost exactly like Brazilianguy's photos show--eye hooks in the walls and rope going to a caribiner attached to the loop of my hammock. I've hung full-time for over two years now and my setup hasn't changed. Occasionally, I will swap out a camping hammock or one of our Mayans, but unless it's super hot, I usually stick with the Brazilian.
Edited to add that I didn't bother with a ridgeline. I like everything open indoors.
Thanks, Runs-with-scissors:
I've seen some of your posts on how you and your girls hang; it's a big inspiration. Also was happy to read about the success of your recent campout.
Yeah, one of the problems I've faced looking for hammocks is that my decor and taste run in monochrome and most Brazilian hammocks seem to scream "I wanna sleep on a rainbow!"
I've found a 12.5ft stand on ebay Australia and I'll use that while I decide if full-time hanging is for me. If it is, I'll definitely swap out the stand for eye-bolts, and then I'll have a stand for camping in my tree-poor backyard.

Same here. If it gets above 25C at night, I'll sleep on my Dutch hammock
I'd rather be hanging.
