    I struggled over what to do with the straps to keep them separate from the hammock. Mine tend to get sap on them. Dutch's whoopie hooks sort of solved that for me, since they are fully detachable, I put them in another bag.

    That being said. It would be nice to have somewhere either on the hammock bag or on the hammock itself to stuff them without adding too much weight.

    1" Polypropylene is not considered strong enough for use as a hammock suspension. Polyester webbing is the material you should use.

    Also (as someone mentioned), how the cinch buckle is attached is important to preventing it from cocking sideways causing the webbing to bunch up. Please provide a photo of your webbing/cinch buckle setup showing how each side of the buckle is connected.

    I have some 1" polypro straps rated to 1500lbs that work fine. They are thicker than my polyester straps of the same weight rating though.
