I know i'd buy a bunch if you produced them.

I've thought about something like that to store the extra webbing in while the hammock is in use, rather than letting it hang down & lay on the ground.
I too will something make and joy in it's making

+1 on the skins. I wish I had them for my tarp setting up on windy days.

Lots of people have asked for another commercial source for skins, and most cottage gear makers wont touch them, at least on an advertised basis.

The Jacks used to make a version of them they called python skins. They don't anymore. Now, I'm not in the know, but I'd bet a serious chunk of cash that they heard from a certain Mr. H with threats of a lawsuit.

Patent infringment is an ugly lawsuit. However.. they are a _very easy_ DIY project and the dimensions are now listed on the Hennssy website. Even a rank beginner can knock those out in a very short time and have an extremely usable product when done.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

Ok I am loving all the great suggestions. I like the cord stuff sacs, Should be able to make up some of those in the next few days. As to skins, I kind of think Mustardman and Rev are right, I just don't want to bring T H around with a crooked eye at all my gear. Second he has got most of his stuff being mass produced and can have very low prices on most of his accessories. I have though about how to do a top cover for the HH like the BBO but the SS top cover is only 30 something and I can't even get all the materials and parts together for that. Snake skins are relatively cheap to buy and like rev said they should be a simple enough DIY. Sorry lawsuit is not an option and with TH's propensity to pull that card (or at least the threat there of) I just can't open that can of worms.

However I do want to keep working to fill in some of the gaps that are not being made by other companies. Suspensions seem like one place that most have overlooked and something that many of us like to change out and try new ones all the time. I think I have found a good source for chinch buckles, rings, and some other buckle designs. I have webbing, and amsteel readily available. Hopefully I will be able to get the carabiners going (still working on it)

So the question arises, how may would want to order parts (say x foot of webbing, a set of rings, and x this or that) and how many would like to just order an assembled suspension (say a chinch buckle with 15' of webbing, a buckle and a amsteel loop prussic attached to the buckle, knots tied and ready to attache and use on your hammock?

    PGibson:
I like the whole suspension ready to go idea personally. This way everything is matched and ready to go out of the box, pardon the pun! I only see that it will need to be determined whether it is a channel end hammock or a gathered wrapped end. Instead of the amsteel and prussick could you make one with a tightly sewn loop out of webbing around the cinch buckle? Only reason I ask, I have both set-ups, is because the prussick wants to cant under load where the other does not!

Keep up the good customer relations policy you have going here, it is greatly appreciated.

Do you have a picture of that? There may be a way to adjust the knot to help reduce that.

Multiple wraps to fill the slot. I/ve ad similar problems with the tri-glides.

I don't understand how brand H can monopolize the market on skins. The name maybe but the skins themselves? Seems pretty ridiculous. Couldn't they be made and sold another name? Just wondering.
