    be sure to test that for content if it is not labled as such- sewing webbing is usually cotton/blend for garment use- not generally intended for outdoor gear. KM

    Heck, my local Sport Chalet has climbing webbing by the foot... for short tree huggers, they might work well...

    yes, they do- but as suspension straps of any length- they stretch- I haven't hit the ground yet, but overnight I get much closer...KM

    The olefin webbing actually snapped under load. I strongly advise against using the Wal Mart fabric department webbing for suspension, YMMV.

    worth checking at army surplus stores as well. I got 62 yards (yes yards) for $9. Its not exactly what I was looking for (has somewhat of a cotton feel to it) but it gets the job done, and for the price I just couldn't say no.
