Hi, can someone point me to directions to making an ultralite UQ? The online ones are really expensive, and im not sure how often I'll use it. For the rating, if I could make a 20 degree UQ at around a pound that would be awesome.
Thanks!

A 20 degree under quilt for around a pound is definitely doable, but it will probably have to be a 3/4 length quilt (which I use and am quite happy with), and you will have to use 800 or 850 fill power down. You may or may not save any money, depending on whether you already have all the equipment necessary to make things, and the skill to do so without ruining materials.
3 season Jarbidge fits that bill and is $100. Sometimes less if you catch a sale or find a used one. Or make your own version of one. http://www.arrowhead-equipment.com/s...nderQuilt.html

DIY wont save you but a couple of bucks after you factor in time, materials and trouble. Especially down. But if you really want to take the plunge into the addiction that is DIY, check this thread out: https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...ad.php?t=51555 Its got a ton of info. UQ should be in there.
