    On a hike. 30 minuets.

Once I finish all 5 B.O.B less than 5 minuets for all 5 of us to be out of the house with clothes, 7 days food, and all needed camping and cooking gear.

After the train derail in Maryville, TN a couple weeks ago it's got me moving on the B.O.B faster.

When in grad school a friend called and asked, "want to go to Tokyo for a week?" Next thing I know I'm camped out on 42nd street in NYC in February over night to score $250 round trip tickets at a Japanese travel agency celebrating an anniversary.

So then yes... Now 12 years later with a 5 year old kiddo no. It'll take me an hour to sort my setup from the family gear.

Because I want to be the last one standing or recovered with a pack surrounded by brass.

Just got back from a trip and my cloths are in the dryer so no, not in a moments notice...as of right now.

Usually, my pack is ready except my quilts. This includes food bag with 3 days of food and empty water bags. I usually have 2 water bottles and a full Stanley water container ready on the counter because I drink a lot of water. So, I guess I could be ready in less than 10 minutes by stuffing the quilts in.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

My hammock hotel rides in the backseat. As long as it's within 2 hours of here it's good. Further than that, a text is required so, 15 seconds.

I keep all necessary hiking gear in a plastic box and keep a good supply of trail food...I can be packed and ready in 20 minutes for a month hike...takes me half a day to get ready for one night of car camping and half day to put the stuff up.

I would need time to change clothes, grab some oatmeal, and a handful of pharmaceuticals and be out the door with a summer pack at around 31 pounds. The one item I don't have that I would like to find is a partner or two;preferably old and short like me!

I like this idea but I'd be so paranoid I'm leaving something behind unless I went through it all and then it would just be easier to have it unloaded to begin with.

I'm also really paranoid when I get back that I've got something wet or dirty in the pack that's going to mold or mildew if I don't unload it.

Packing the pack is a few minutes. Going through my shelf stable food would take 10 minutes I would think. The longest part is compressing my quilts!

I'm getting better. I used to need 24 hours notice (where did I leave xyz?)

Now I have all of the extra gear in plastic bins by category. I have a spreadsheet of gear and weights, and dehydrated food in the freezer. Now I can assemble everything in an hour, but then I start figuring what else can be left behind. I won't hike with more than 20 lbs in summer, including everything and pack, food, water, and whiskey.
