    JRB BMBH in Hammock Hut

    Hi Guys

Been looking back over the old threads and the relavent ones are quite old now

Does anyone use the JRB bridge hammock in a JRB Hammock hut. I found a post where Smee or Peter Pan , cant remember which used this setup but was wondering if anyone else had tried the same and what your views were

Guess my main concern is space , or lack of near the spreader bars and the length of the hammock , from what i can find the HH is 10ft 6 along the ridgeline and the range for the BMBH is 9ft 3 - 9ft 6 between the suspension rings so 6 in clearance either end

    Cheers

    Mike

I hung next to Smee at the Winter Hang last year and he used this setup. He and Pan are out hiking right now, but check with him when they get back. He and Pan are always more than happy to answer any quetions.

    Thanks

    Hi Hooch

thanks for the reply , 1 slight problem I am trying to take advantage of the deal JRB have at the moment while they are away (15% of $300 plus orders )

this finishes on the 14th (when they get back i presume)

If there are no other comments later today I will just go ahead and order both items

Pan and Smee both seam to be very active on this forum and have a repuation for exceptional customer service so if this isnt a wise choice then I can sort it out with them when they return

Understatement of the year. They'll make sure all is well, no worries.

Please note: The ridgeline on a bridge hammock is not an indicator of the hammock length. Rather it is an indicater of the suspension length. There is a big difference in the case of a bridge. Remember the Hammock hut opens up similar to doors. The suspension straps and rings can stick out the doors some and present a problem in terms of being effective. The same would not be true necessarily in the case of a gathered end. The BMB and the hammock hut were designed as a possible system. They done it right.

I have never used one but I have seen them at some hangs. It's a nice piece of kit if you don't mind the weight and bulk. I think NCPatrick has one for Tinkerbell so she can have some privacy at group hangs. He might chime in here.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

We are out of the woods... It was a great hike... Beautiful color and no rain while hiking... Just a few standard PA rocks...Back in the shop tomorrow.

The JRB BMBH will just fit in the JRB HH... Until the bridge is in use spreader bars may touch if the sides are in the wind... Once one is in the hammock, it drops lower, and the clearance is several inches...If one want to close the JRB HH and be gone during the day it is a 2 second drill to remove the spreader bars for the day and then the issue is mute.

PS... Michael... Pls PM me your number and I'll call you tonight or tomorrow before shipping to answer personally your questions.

    Hi Pan

Many thanks for the reply - Thats dedication straight back from a trip and already on the forums

I had already placed an order on your web site ( before reading this ) and have emailed you a couple of questions the key one ( will it fit ) you have already covered in the post

I have no problems removing the spreader bars , if i was cooking / chilling out in the hut i would probably remove the bars and bunch the hammock up out of the way anyway

Just need to go and get my wife a bunch of flowers now ( and explain my new purchase !!!)
