When I first got into hammock camping, all I heard from most groundlings . . . it’s so cold, it’s so cold. It's too difficult. Too much work. Takes too long in cold rainy weather. Can't do those knots when it's snowing.
Now that I'm more experienced, it's not more work and it's not more difficult. I just needed to practice and of course the right gear is a must.
I'm sooooo comfortable in a hammock now I find that that I’m camping MORE in cold weather, not less. When I was on the ground I wouldn’t camp much in shoulder seasons and winter. Nothing worse than being out in cold rainy weather AND being uncomfortable on the ground.
Was wondering if this has happened to anyone else?
