Welcome to the forum. Great to have another KY hanger. We are going to have to start a club or something.

My suggestion would be to head over to Harbor Freight and pick up some ratchet straps and use the polyester webbing from them. Cheap and easy. See this thread for details

How tight do hang you the hammock. Is it supposed to be parralell and tight or a little loose. Or is a matter of preference.

Psycho,it's strictly a matter of personal preference. How much "looseness" you have in your hammock when it is hanging is called sag, and how much you like is up to you. I'm still feeling mine out, but have it pretty close to how I'm really comfortable. So play with it, see what you like and go with what works for you. If you want, since I'm in Lexington also, give me a yell sometime, we'll get together and mess with it. I'm busy with work for most of the next week and a half or so, but have 20 days of vacation starting on May 27. Like HC said, it's nice to have another hanger so close, welcome aboard!

We'll catch up sooner or later. Will you be back in time to go to the SEHHA Hangout in June?

Check out the pics in the "Sag" entry in the glossary (link at the bottom of this post)
