Thurø – small island hang in Denmark

So I went to fyn in Denmark with the family recently. I brought my hammock gear and decided to check out a small island near by – just for one night.

The most exciting thing that happened was when I had to jumping a fence and tearing my pants after discovering that the field I was in was occupied by more than 40 bull calfs. Good thing I saw them before I put up the hammock.

I was hoping to set up the hammock by the water edge but unfortunately, there was nowhere decent.

I didn’t record any video but took a few pictures.

Thanks for the photos. Sometimes I feel like all the cool places are not in the U.S. (no, I know that's not completely true!)

By the way, photos > video!!

Thanks! Been adding bits and pieces over the last three years. This was actually the first time I went out on a (summer)cold night without feeling cold at all.

Thanks. Will try to do this more – both getting out in the woods AND posting about it afterwards.

Denmark has some great views but unfortunately, you are never more than 2 miles from the nearest house – not ever. So it’s hard to find a good place to hang on your own.

Glad you made it over the fence in time, and with your pack on as well! That would have made a nice video, clip for sure. Nice looking camp and set up, thanks for posting the report always good to read and see other places around the world.
