The quilt itself is the Potomac, not "KAQ"...that's Patrick's business' name. Since I'm only making his quilt and not taking over his business (I'll have my own site with my own name up very soon), I'm not using KAQ. If that's about as clear as muddy water, sorry It's just been bugging me. But then again I'm weird like that!

No, I haven't made any changes to Patrick's design. I have some different ideas that I'm in the process of modeling and testing right now, but those will be completely separate products when/if they're available for purchase.

No, I don't have pix yet either. Random circumstances have prevented me from taking any of the several that I've sold thus far - scheduling, rush delivery, weather, etc. I should have some available by the time my site is launched - hopefully in a week or two at the most. It'd be great if some of those who have purchased my quilts would take some pix and send them to me...*hint hint*

had you mention this before if not then glad you are making it clear. I just thought the Potomac was a different ° quilt than a KAQ.

so what are the specs for the Potomac?

here's some info on that quilt, (not sure if blackbishop351 will keep them exactly the same as Patrick's design)

At this point, the quilts are exactly to Patrick's specs.

The insulation is two layers of 0.75" Polarguard 3D continuous filament synthetic. The inner shell is 1.1 oz./yd. black DWR. I'm offering three "standard" choices for the outer shell at the moment - black 1.1 oz. like the inner shell, brown (close to the HH color) 1.9 oz./yd., and woodland camo 1.9 oz./yd.

The Regular size quilt (fits users up to about 6'4") weights in around 28 oz., with the black/black color choice. Add about 2 oz. to that for brown or camo outer shell. For users under 5'9", I also offer a Small size that drops about 4 oz. off the weight.

The stuff sack that I supply with my quilts is square-bottomed, roughly 8"x8"x16". It's purposefully oversized for ease of use, and to allow the quilt to loft more when you've got extra room in your pack. I also provide a noseeum storage sack with a loop for hanging, which measures about 3'x4'.

Blackbishop, thanks. Sounds like you will do well selling these. If I decide to get an underquilt I will PM or email you. I won't tell folks about the 20% discount for being a HF member.

Shhhh!! That was a one-time deal to keep you hanging around here after your previous bad hanging experiences! Man...now everybody's gonna threaten to leave the Forums and I'm gonna go broke!

See...that's just not fair! You can keep dropping yourself on your a#$ and your quilt price will asymptotically approach $0.00...

LOL...yeah gotta love that new hammock stretch. If you can, set it up in your yard, tighten the crap out of it, and lay in it a while. If it stretches noticeably, retighten and repeat. That should take care of the problem so you don't have to deal with it in the field next time
