Anyone know the specs for the peapod II?

Michael do you recall when you purchased the peapod?

*** Waiting for confirmation, but if it's 2" loft, I am not interested.

    Michael,

    Is your peapod all grey?

Or is it forest green on one side and grey on the other?

If it is grey all over, I am interested in spite of 2" loft.

what have you learned about these peapods? i have an older one, gray on inside green on outside. do you know the specs? all i know about mine is that it is thin. probably 2 inch loft with sewn thru baffles.

I learned that the previous PP models might have several differences from the current ones, but basically the design hasn’t changed. The fabric might be slightly heavier on the older models & the loft might be slightly less. However some older models are essentially the same as the current ones. Basically the current models have more loft (thus greater warmth) & lighter-weight fabrics. The fabrics used for the shells now are more consistent in color & weight than previous models. Ask about the color---if it’s all gray it could be the same as the new ones; if it’s gray inside/forest green outside, it’s probably a few ounces heavier than the new ones. As far as down goes, it could be the old 750 instead of the new 900---this could be hard to measure since you’d need to measure the loft which is highly subjective.

Unfortunately, I am going to have to pass on this one... I need something sooner than Michael can get it to me, because I just sold my Heresy hammock, and I have no UQ for my Speer!

I started a new thread on specs so I won't hijack this for sale thread.

    Spec's

    Hi Guys

Right found the tag with the spec's

but left it at work will post the exact details tomorrow ( or middle of the night for you guys)

But to answer the earlier question it green on the outside and pale blue on the inside ( definate blue not grey )

from memory its 700+ down fill , there are 2 tick boxes on the label and 8.0 is ticked (8.5 is the other) think its 1.5in loft on the top 2.5 on the bottom. I am sure it was 45 deg rated

    Cheers

    Mike

    Thanks, Mike!

Sorry it didn't work out... I needed a little more insulation.

I have a friend that uses one of these, and adds a pad or clothing when needed in the bottom section, and a top quilt on top both only when needed. He has been toasty in the 20s and loves it. Then under 2 lbs total top and bottom for warmer temps. Pretty good for the weight, and cost. Of course, you can't buy them new anymore.
