In a real downpour mine has some misting. Still, it was worth the money. I left it hanging in the woods quite a bit and would just go out to sleep without the hassle of set up and take down. After that heavy use, I've re-waterproofed it and it is good to go.
Keep movin', keep believing and enjoy the journey!

Thanks! Good to know. BTW....what did you use to "re-waterproof" it?

Like Bubba wrote....I got the info from Kelty's website. Go figure.

Now maybe you guys could help me with this....how to deal with the bogey man? Was in the smokies the past week....cabin in the woods. Have a feeling northern Minnesota will be even darker at night!

After several years of use mine started misting in heavy rain. I used a can of Atsko Silicone Water Guard from wallyworld, one can on each side, and haven't had a problem since.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!

    Real world experience,
I have owned a 12x12 for a little over 5 years, and have loved every bit of it. I have been in down pours, gentle rain, and mist.
In October of 2012 I had the grand opportunity to sit through a storm that had 50 mph winds, 3 inches of rain, and hail.....the Noah's tarp worked perfectly.
I am heading to the boundry waters in June of 2016, and you can bet i am taking the Noah.....

It was a spray I got at Wal-mart. Took two cans. Probably the same stuff 2Ply used.
