For a quilt that is adjustment free, will keep the full length of your hammock warm (IMO) to low double digits without any other under insulation...that's not at all a bad weight. At all.
You can't compare the weight of 3 season partial quilts to it because they aren't in the same league in terms of warmth and coverage. Apples vs Oranges...

You read my mind. I was comparing it to my yeti which I have weighed at 12.4oz. I'm a warm sleeper, so that's gotten me down below freezing already.
I agree... I've got a SnugFit under my dbl 1.7 WBBB and have been very toasty down to 24 degrees in it... And it is a full length UQ and my 6'6" body doesn't get cold at all!

I attach mine with JRB mini-biners to my whoopi slings. If you still use the stock tri-rings, just attach it there. Works just fine.
I don't see the SnugFit as a heavy quilt at all, particularly for the warmth it provides. I've been warm in mine as low as 10*F at the Winter Hang last year. It's been around for a couple years now and still one of the best underquilts on the market, IMO.

I agree. Some things are worth extra weight. The snugfit allowed me to use a summer weight top quilt around freezing comfortably. My girlfriend uses it full-time for camping. She used to get cold feet, now never does!
Why is it if I add the universal model to my paypal cart, that even though it says $339 on the site, it loads up in the paypal cart at $369? Any ideas?
Just how conservatively is that thing rated?
It's only rated to 30, last time I looked. It always seemed to me it was quite under-rated, looking at the loft on it, much as the Pea Pod is IMO. But 10*F? Wow. Were you using a pad, or at least a space blanket or VB?

Speer Top Blanket III with 1oz overfill
Lightweight base layer
Worn clothes
Warm hat
REI down jacket over my torso and abdomen under the Top blanket
Speer Winter Tarp with ends closed in.
