A few have had changes and sadly can not make it while others, new and old hangers, have been added. This is a wonderful list of folks that are willing to get outdoors in the final days of September in Florida. Hopefully we will get a great view of the SuperMoon/BloodMoon this weekend.

If you have a last minute decision and can make it, even for one night, come on out even if you only have a tent. Get to meet a few seasoned Florida hangers and we can all learn something new.

Anyone have the GPS coordinates for the parking lot and pond? Maybe even the track? I have a Magellan GPS if that matters......

Here you go Nut, I cut and pasted the 3 ways of getting to Hidden Pond depending on which parking lot you wanted from my Florida Trail GPS page. Here's the link: http://www.lilricky.com/FT/hiddenpond.gpx Just be sure to right click and save link as. Not sure which Magellan you have, but hopefully it won't overwhelm it. If you need any help getting it loaded into your GPSr let me know.

If you're using a GPS or want to use Garmin's free Basecamp software to print out a map, you can check out my site below and download the Florida Trail GPS file. It has waypoints for all the above sites and alot more.

This will give you the gps coordinates as well.

Firstly, sorry for being AWOL for so long. Secondly, thanks to Floridahanger for stepping up on both the No Underquilts and this hang!

Not only am I alive, I'm going to be able to make this one! Last-minute personnel changes at work made it a "maybe" for me until yesterday, and I wanted to wait to be sure before I committed.

I'll be coming into Pat's Island either very early Saturday morning (it depends on how tired I am on my ride in from Gainesville and how bad my back is screaming at me after ~70 miles on the bike; I may end up stealthing somewhere in the forest along the roadside if things get too bad) or later Saturday morning. I'll be leaving Gainesville around 7 PM or so and it's a ~7-9 hour trip depending on wind, breaks, and hiking pace. My apologies in advance for anyone I hit with my headlamp if I get in late.

I'll be staying until the group heads out on Sunday, then making another couple of days of bike camping at points north and east of Ocala. If anyone's interested, I'm more than willing to have a partner or three on that.
