A Big Hee Haw From Texas, Y'All!!

I've decided to go back to backpacking (couldn't runaway perm to the woods, so settle for the occasional escape). So first thing gotta do is get the Big 3 that means rethinking what I want for shelter. So after a long torturous and definitely a lot of waffling I've decided to try 'hanging' with y'all. I'm so excited to buy my hammock last night. I'm starting of slow and see how I like it. I think getting a hammock with net for $44 is pretty cheap (wanted a WBBB but had to restrained myself). Pray for me I don't fall on my a&& LOL

If you'd like info about our annual group hang or the Texas Hammock Hangers Facebook group, you'll find it in my signature lines below.

There are a number of North Texas hangers, (several are regulars at the November Fairfield hang) and more specifically Arlington area folks who have been helpful to new folks numerous times over the years.

Don't be shy. Ask questions. You're in a good place for great info.

I recommend going to the Texas Fall Group Hang 2015 if at all possible; these are great friendly folks who will give you more than all the advice you care for! For real; I just attended my first event, the 4th Annual Butt Back, and had a great time.
