No, this is the plain ole battery powered one though you can get 18650 batteries and chargers.

So, to run WITH the extender, you need a total of 8x 18650s?

It runs on either 4 X 18650 or 8 X CR123 batteries without the extender. With the extender, it's twice as many - 8 X 18650 or 16 X CR123. I was trying it out with CR123s. You can get 16 disposables of those for about the price of one rechargeable 18650.

This is a big, bright flashlight. Too big to go on the bedside table and more than someone in the suburbs needs. It's for wide open spaces.
