I'm looking at getting another tarp...and probably from Mountain Wilderness Gear.
Why would you go with the silpoly over the silnylon? (just trying to decide between the two)

Silpoly doesn't stretch like silnylon. I'm also on the list for a SF by MW.

It's also stonger, more abrasion and more UV resistant.

I too have Mountain Wilderness 'Green Monster' of the 2nd gen Silpoly variety. My phone isn't behaving, so I'll post pics later.
It's 'big'. I like it because my setup and myself aren't small at all. I have an 11' DreamHammock Thunderbird, and I'm 6'4.
I like that I can put it up high and that it's big enough to completely cover all of my stuff in various configurations.
I can't wait to try this thing in the winter.
    A couple of things:
For the money, it's really, really good. (Mine was $106 or so including shipping.)
The stitching is very tight, the seams were sealed, and it has a enough evenly spaced tie-outs and even door-pullouts to be satisfied with.
It's a 'quality product' and I'm so happy to have found this vendor.
For such a large tarp, it's really lightweight. 'How lightweight' I don't know. I'm not nor will I ever be a gram counter.

    Regards

Ok. I am interested in a tarp. Is there a website? What are the options?

Thanks for this thread guys. I found this least night, exchanged email with Mountain Wilderness. For several years i have been looking at the Super Fly then the Old Man Winter, I decided to give Mountain Wilderness my business, Charlie and I exchanged 5-6 emails where he gave me advice and I was bouncing my ideas off of him. One SilPoli MONSTER FLY (Love that name by the way... haha) is officially on order! God i love the ease of PayPal. When it arrives i will post pictures. (Color.....???? it will be a surprise..) I have a large size Clark Vertix tarp but "WINTER IS COMING" and i need maximum protection and the fabric that Charlies seems to be the good stuff.)

I'm surprised no one has asked, but what does this thing weigh?
