Hi YA'LL,
I recently got off into this hammmock stuff and have the bug bad. So far in a very short time I have gathered up 3 of them. My first being a HH.
My most recent hammock is the Military M1966. It is kinda small and not many ammenities. So I got the ENO bugnet for it. Reason being , the bugnet can be used with other future hammocks.
From reading on here, alot of ya'll are back packers and hikers and weight is of a concern. My camping is either done from a kayak or a canoe or at a campground and weight is less of a concern, allowing me to carry alittle more stuff.
This past weekend, several of us went to Harmon Creek, along the Trinity river in Hunstville Texas. Being the only Hammock owner in the bunch, (so far), the gang kinda laughed at me. We stayed at the campground, so I got to play with my new toys some.
Even though I have a camper with heat and a/c, i chose to sleep in my hammock. I had to try out my bug net and different tarp configurations.
We had a slight cool front, low 60s is a cool front for us down here. Using a self inflating pad, and good sleeping bag, my M1966 and I did great through out the night.
