I only went and knocked up version 2.0 of the myog hammock deluxe hammock stand.

Did I say hammock enough?

Ladies and gents. I'm proud to announce this bad boy. Here is the parts list that you'll need:

Two pieces of wood. (Job done. Now go crack on and make a better version than my procrastinated effort).

I layed in it today for several hours. Tossing and turning and I didn't manage to cave my skull in so I guess all that algebra paid off in the end. If I never post on here again then I have grossly misunderstood the concepts of physics and I'm dead by land based driftwood.

I don't need masonry screws to hold the wedges in place.

I just drive them home nice and hard and then scribe a line near the wedges. Every time I get in and out I double check this sharpie line on the top and bottom.

I have been bouncing on this thing and the wedges stay put. I'm not worried about getting my skull caved in no more.

The secret to success on this design was undoubtedly the sand paper behind the continuous loop. It doesn't budge a mm now. I had considered doing an elaborate carving to reduce the slippage but then I thought sod that. Sand paper it is then.
