    Thumbs up Hammock Life "enhancers"

Is there anything that makes a regular hammock with bug netting more spacious or more enjoyable?

Does anyone have any extra pockets on the inside of their hammocks or a certain clip that can hold a flashlight in place?

I am just wondering and it would be pretty cool to hear little tweaks that people did to their hammock to make the life inside it more enjoyable.

Something I just thought about was a way to make a netted hammock more open inside. Two upside down Vs made of thin tent poles or some other light and thin objects. The angle of the V should be larger than the angle that the netting would make when it is laying on top of the ridge line.

I've seen several people from the forums without netting sleeping in a sock or a sort of a shelter around their hammock. I know that's much more spacious and probably warmer but for the netted hammocks inside how can I make it more enjoyable?

adding some side pulls like a HH or BB may help with interior space. a pole system for the netting is neat as well but a bit heavier and more thinking to get it to work.
adding a ridge line will give you a place to clip things to. its hard to get one inside the bug netting if its made wiht one. I never did bother with my old hammock bliss. jsut left the ridgeline on the outside.

I have the bug netting seperate on mine. Way more spacous. I can sit in it like a chair and be protected.

I have a ridgeline with pockets for stuff. Anything else is too complicated for my taste.
Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?

I just clip a small keychain light to the ridgeline of my Blackbird and I'm good to go. No other modification necessary.

I've done the opposite... switched to a relatively narrow Speer that has a close bugnet with a non-structural ridgeline. No room for anything that's not in there for me to keep warm, or to keep me warm!

The end cap storaage units like Slowhike uses are appealing...

I do like them a lot, & plan on keeping them, but they need to be redesigned. They can cause complications setting up the way they are now.
I have worked on a simpler, cleaner version in my mind. Now I just need to make it happen
See pages 11 & 12 in my gallery for pictures of the current version.

I tied a bungee loop with a cordlock to the interior head end. Put any extra clothes in the loop and snug it up. Keeps them out of the way and accessible.

Well there are other links to this subject in this forum about watching movies in your hammock ...

What I did Monday night when I was testing out my new set up was to load a couple episodes of the TV show ROBIN HOOD on my iPhone and string it up with my ear buds and the extended battery pack ... to my ridge line. Then I just relaxed!

Now if I could have gotten my dog Spencer to run a Guinness out from the fridge ... it'd have been even better!
