    Does Shug tie balloons?

He might be able to put together a prototype bugnet fast!

Seams to me that the bike tubes would be more heavy duty & heavier than needed. I was thinking something a little closer to "pool float" materiel for bug net support. It could be field patched easy enough.
I too will something make and joy in it's making

There is thread discussing the use of heat sealable fabric on backpackinglight.com that may pertain to this topic.

    Very interesting concept!

That is very interesting. The pad he made is very interesting also. I couldn't find where he gets that material form though. Any ideas?

Here is where I could find it.

    questoutfitters:

    seattlefabrics:

    http://www.seattlefabrics.com/nylons...nier%20Ripstop

The Ripstop is pricey, but light. There are other choices that are cheaper, but you pay a weight penalty.

    custom sized DAM project.

Has anyone taken any of this info and ran with it yet? come on, show us what you built! I'm so inspired that I'm gonna build a custom shaped down air mattress (DAM) and some airbeams .....

First I gotta figure out just what fabrics to order. without actually seeing them it's really tough to just pick.

and I'm also trying to figure out exactly what size of DAM to build and just how much of the shoulder wings I should use ..... the pad I got is 25" and I'm thinking about adding another 2 or 3 tubes for about 6ish" to my right shoulder ..........

I got my thread about all that I've got planned here:

Cool! Good find. Something like this might come in handy for replacing the poles on my Clark NX-250. Now you got me thinking...
