I am currently writing this post from the comfy splendor of my WL Night Owl. Nice set up and indeed it is a comfortable lay..

I'm going to Quetico next week. Were you OK without a bug net?

I am headed there on Monday. Looks like you had nice weather. I am taking my WBBB with bugnet - this late in the season you were probably OK without the net, but its a pretty low weight penalty for a canoe!

That photo was on Alder Lake. The western most campsite on the tip of the peninsula. Site was great for hanging. There were a couple of decent clearings in the woods with nicely spaced plentiful pine trees that would accommodate multiple hammocks. The areas offered nice shade, a pine needle covered ground and simple access in and out to the landing.

Absolutely no need for a mosquito net. Actually packed it by accident really and never took it out of the bag. It was warm so I used no under quilt, no pad and basically slept on top of my sleeping bag in a pair of shorts....no shirt, no socks, no skeeters.
