Anybody ever use a ferrule, thimble or bobbin doodad with a nacrabiner, aka soft shackle?

Just waded through the mammoth thread https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...The-Nacrabiner . Just wondering if anyone has ever used the ferrule to prevent abrasion of amsteel? They seem pretty small and light? Curious ~Cnugget

Maybe this isn't a good idea? Too many twists in the amsteel? The soft shackle & better soft shackle with splice for boobin doodad. Been trying to avoid Amsteel on Amsteel or Amsteel on Mule Tape.
