Hammockforums Flag go Thailand ! (WARNING, LOT OF PICS)

I just got home from 4 weeks in Thailand.
So here comes the report from a very different hammock trip.
It's justified ,because every family member spent hours in a hammock everyday

The trip was planned to be a mixed family holiday,
with me sneaking away for a couple of days.

In southern Thailand you have a wonderful archipelago.
So i planned to get the family to the island Koh Bubu,
there is only one Bungalow village there.
This would be the base-camp in which the family stayed,
while i was paddling to the nearest islands in my Alpacka and stay the night/nights in my Warbonnet Blackbird.

    This never happened
Because the **** Bungalow village didn't open up before November.
    (My research said October).

We went to the island on a day trip by longtail anyway, just to check the place up!
    The bungalows was pretty ruff.
    But the island was beautiful.
And like everywhere in Thailand, it was hammocks hanging.

So basecamp for the hole trip was Narima.
We got a sweet deal b/c of the low season and payed 800THB ($24)/night
for the best Bungalow. This one costs 4500THB ($135)/night during peak season.

    Our bungalow for 4 weeks

The view from the hammock on the porch

Tim 5yrs in the included hammock, me in my newly bought Parachute hammock

This is Thailand, so of course we had visitors!
We saw five snakes all together, only two in the bungalow.

This one might be my ticket to hell, i killed it!
I don't know at the moment if it is harmless or not.
It was pure instinct, we entered the bungalow after dinner and my son said
    "look dad, a snake".
The snake was small , maybe 30cm but it was 1 meter from my kid and i happened to stand there with my paddle in hand.
So the paddle mysteriously made violent contact with the floor and something happened to be in the way.

We was very mobile, as we turned asian and didn't give a **** about safety.
That means, that the hole family went around on one Scooter, thai style.
I drove slowly and got passed by elderly woman in a burqa frequently.
It's a lot of muslims in Southern Thailand

This how we got to :
    Hammock House
    Koh Lanta - Krabi
Find us in the hart of Lanta Old Town, a 100 year old village with Chinese stilt houses on the South-East side of the island.

Hammock House on Koh Lanta is run by Butch and his girlfriend ?
Hammock House is one of their outlets and the overall brand name is Jumbohammock

    Hammocks with an extra edge.
Designs & colours you won't find anywhere else. Engineered for comfort, made with character. Improved materials. User and weaver friendly products that support the Mlabri tribe as they survive in a new world.

    Butch is a now/then lurker
I will try to get him over here more frequently, this post might help

They are very nice people indeed and they helped me to extend my hammock
    collection with two more hammocks.

    1. Parachute hammock
    2. Travel jumbo

    Back to the topic
Here comes the hammockforums.net flag pics.

And finally some pics of my ultra heavy tarp and driftrope support.

You don't drag this kind of tarp around on any longer hikes.

    The sea provides.
I didn't have any rope for this hammock, so i just took a stroll down the beach
and found this, it held well
The S thingy is stock and heavy as gold.

Please let me know if this trip report,
sucked, was off topic or if it was way to many pics.

    Here you go!

All pics with a black hammock above is their Parachute hammock.
I wouldn't say that they sell hiking/outdoor hammocks,
    it's more backyard stuff.

    Have a look at jumbohammock.
