May: check.
I got in my May hang and the 9th consecutive month of the 12 Night Series this past weekend at one of my secret camping spots in North Georgia.
One hint, it is down an old logging road by a mountain stream off the Georgia Appalachian Trail.
I headed out for a Friday night campout and could not have had better weather.
I hung in an ancient Hemlock forest under trees that were likely growing well before our country was founded.
I hammock camped without using my tarp on a small peninsula jutting out into a mountain stream. I strung the tarp in case rain came in overnight but it was a beautiful night and I could see the stars through the treetops all night long.

Another amazing night in the woods.

I got May in last night. Nice night with a little bit of rain. This puts me at 6.
Hanging with BSA at Cloudland canyon park for May.
I am spending the weekend up at the cabin with my father in law, he is in the cabin with the wood stove going so it is about 80 in there. I am outside hanging next to the river where it is expected to be in the mid 30's. It rained last night and it is lightly raining now. I have my UGQ 20* underquilt, 2QZQ underquilt protector, an old synthetic 0* sleeping bag and my AE flame thrower down socks just in case. I should be toasty warm!

May makes night 2/12 for me. Hung at my buddy's farm outside of Bowling Green, KY. It was my 1st overnight in my Castaway Travel Hammock (Sam's Club special). It served it's purpose, but my Eno DoubleNest which is also pictured is much more comfortable overnight. I also tested out my DIY soda can stove and made some Mountain House Beef Stroganoff with Noodles. Stove worked out fine and my buddy enjoyed the hammock enough to begun shopping for his own.
Success
Nevermind the ground dweller and my buddy's Walmart tarp and the way it is strung. His masculinity was hurt when I had to hang his hammock so he was determined to pitch his own tarp.
